Platform & Positions

A Platform Based on Principles

Moral Excellence and Radical Common Sense

Term Limits: Once elected politicians stay in office using name recognition and incumbency biased to stay elected while they fester in office in both Washington and Albany. Bel!

• 4 Term limit in the Assembly (8 years)
• 4 Term limit in the State Senate (8 years)

As an example, below is a list of Democratic members of the Assembly and when they were first elected.

• William Magnarelli 1998
• J. Gary Pretlow 1992
• Jeffrey Dinowitz 1994
• Deborah J. Glick 1990
• William Colton 1996
• Vivian E. Cook 1990

Make it illegal for Candidates to Knowingly Lie: George Santos knowingly lied to 750,000 people to get elected, the government did not care, and the people couldn’t remove him from office once they found out. Then he lied to the government and suddenly the Government cared.

Common Sense AI laws: Do not allow the government to use AI to monitor citizens, require all AI production has watermarks, hold public figures and companies to disclose AI products or be held liable. This does not address all problems with AI, like job security, but this starts the conversation so we can address the problems before they become critical.

Disclaimer: These are my goals I believe I can work with Democrats on and have a real chance of becoming law. Democrats hold a ⅔ majority in the government, so while I wish I could repeal things like the Safe Act, Natural Gas limitation laws and so many regulations that would be promising to fight and accomplish nothing. I will fight for those goals when elected but I will accomplish making our Republic fairer!

The Positions That Matter

Anthony’s positions reflect a belief in individual freedom, economic opportunity, and responsible governance.

Pro Business – Simplifying and reducing regulations to make running a business simpler and more profitable

Pro Lowering Taxes (NY is the 2nd highest total taxed state)

Pro 2nd Amendment for all law abiding citizens

Pro Nuclear Energy – If the Democrats insist on removing fossil fuels, Nuclear is the only scalable energy source that isn’t weather dependent and works at night.

Anti Regulation – NYS is so focused on controlling everything, for example Texas did away with State Inspection we should do the same. We can only gain freedom from our own government.

Pro Education Reform to more focus on the Trades – Give high schools the right to choose to study a trade instead of useless education. This will provide more opportunity to those in the trades close to retirement to teach.

Pro a 35 year cap on Primary Residence Property tax – If “owning property” means paying tax on it forever then its not owning, its renting from the government. This would help those on a fixed income and would reward those for improvements made on their house.

Anti Debt – The NYS debt stands at 64.4 billion, this is money we are stealing from our children and grandchildren as those in power have no plan to repay it. 4.2 billion on interest payments only estimated in 2026. Can politicians do math?

Pro Infrastructure funding – Too often we have seen that the only time we want to spend money on infrastructure is after it’s too late.

A Practical Approach to Public Service

Anthony Micaroni’s approach to government is rooted in moral excellence, radical common sense, and accountability. He believes leadership means identifying obvious problems, telling the truth about them, and pursuing solutions that can realistically be achieved.

While New York’s political landscape requires cooperation across party lines, Anthony is committed to advancing reforms that make government fairer, more transparent, and more responsive to the people it serves.
